Popping in to share a happy little pumpkin repeat today, and a video of our living area. I love Halloween and especially love all of our orange lights. I might just keep them up a little bit past Halloween this year.

Its official, Bobby's a boy. He's also a "French g

Its official, Bobby's a boy. He's also a "French girl" from the looks of his coloring. So he is a Magpie/Pekin cross breed. Our male Pekin in quite large and Bobby looks as though he's going to be Pekin size, too. I'm bummed that our only duck hatched is a male, as we really can't support more than one randy male duck with our flock size. We lost Fennel this summer and she was a great layer, so it would have been nice to add back another female. I can't believe we are already halfway through October! I always want to sew all the Halloween things, yet manage to never sew a stitch. This will have to do.

Today feels a little more like fall. It's raining

Today feels a little more like fall. It's raining (big surprise), I have the fireplace going, hot cider made and the house smells like the batch of apple butter I canned this morning. It might be time to pull out the Halloween decorations.
